For these returning clients, the goal was a home that works hard and lives like art. We reimagined the kitchen, mudroom, and powder bath with bold materials, smart storage, and a nod to mid-century style, creating a space that feels warm, functional, and full of personality. We also completed a primary bathroom remodel featuring a custom sauna, extending the home’s sense of retreat.

The kitchen is anchored by rich walnut cabinetry with tiered drawers, integrated spice and oil storage, a hidden appliance garage, and a pantry with pull-outs. A beverage center with liquor and wine storage keeps things effortless, while a sculptural granite island invites gathering and everyday ritual.

Materiality leads the design, with underlit granite shelves, a full-height granite splash, textural tile, and a live-edge walnut mantle that softens clean lines. A minimal, tile-wrapped hood allows these elements to stand out.

We opened walls to transform the laundry into a mudroom hybrid with coat storage, shoe organization, and space to land and reset. Layered lighting, including pendants, sconces, and a subtle under-shelf glow, shapes the mood from day to night.

Now equal parts studio, kitchen, and retreat, the home is designed for a family that loves to cook, live, and gather in style.
