Discovery and Consultation
The first step in our process is a brief phone call to review your wants and needs. We will discuss timeline, scope of work, budget, and other details to ensure we are the right fit for your project.
If our process and your project are a good fit, we will schedule an in-person consultation.
During this one-hour free design consultation and project assessment, our team will visit your space, listen to your goals, and provide a verbal project assessment with a target budget, general timeline, and estimated construction start date. We also use advanced tools like 3D Lidar scans to capture accurate measurements and details.
This step provides a high-level overview of anticipated costs based on our initial discussions and experience, helping avoid costly surprises before moving into design.

Final Design and Planning
This is where the fun begins. You will meet with a Designer and start bringing your vision to life.
You’ll participate in 1–2 Design Discovery sessions, where we dive deeper into your style, preferences, and functional goals. These sessions may take place in our showroom, your home, or virtually.
Based on what we learn, our team will develop preliminary layouts, elevations, material selections, and a detailed scope of work.
You will then be invited to our showroom for a Portfolio Presentation, where we walk through your project, including renderings, layout, and selections, so you can clearly visualize the final result.
We utilize Buildertrend, a client portal accessible to you for tracking project details, selections, and schedule. Once selections are approved, our Production Managers will order materials and manage procurement to keep your project on schedule.

Construction Process
Once the project plan and schedule is clearly defined, it’s time to start construction! At KCBR Design | Remodel Designers communicate directly with Project Directors and the team of Skilled Craftsmen, ensuring all details and expectations are clear. The Project Director will be your main point of contact throughout the construction phase to address any questions or issues that may arise. The team will provide daily updates on work completed in Buildertrend as well!

Post Construction
We’ve made it! The project is successfully completed, and it is time for you to enjoy. We close out the project with the Final Walk Through to make sure you are 100% satisfied. We will also conduct a client exit survey. This is an opportunity for you to reflect on your project and provide specific feedback on the overall process, which helps us continue to provide top notch service and be a leader in our industry. We believe in continuous improvement! We also stand by our work by offering a two-year warranty on our craftsmanship.
