This family heirloom, dating back to the 1800s, tells a story that spans generations. From the start, every decision was made with respect for that history while thoughtfully adapting the space for the way this family lives today.
The original layout was highly compartmentalized, with enclosed rooms that no longer supported a connected, day-to-day lifestyle. Through intentional reconfiguration, we opened up key areas of the home to create a more natural flow and improved functionality, all while preserving the character that defines it.
From restoring original doors and millwork to replacing outdated knob and tube wiring and completing lead and asbestos remediation, this project required both careful craftsmanship and essential behind-the-scenes updates.
